Mouneh Gida is a custom-built online store for premium natural products. Its catalog spans natural honey and bee products, olive oil, herbs and specialty blends, as well as traditional pottery. Rather than relying on a generic storefront template, the platform was designed as a tailored commerce application whose technology, content structure and customer journey match the actual business model.
Project Concept & Business Model
Natural food products require more than a product image, a price and a buy button. Origin, quality, weight, ingredients, availability, shipping and trust all influence the buying decision. The platform therefore provides enough structure for efficient commerce while leaving room for detailed product information, custom blends and direct customer communication.
The public catalog includes natural honey, honeycomb products, mountain and blossom honeys, bee products, honey-and-nut blends, royal blends, cold-pressed olive oil and traditional ceramic products.
Bespoke Design Instead of a Generic Theme
A storefront is part of the brand. For that reason, MBB Websolutions does not force every customer into one agency template. Color palette, typography, image language, card density, spacing, homepage priorities and the overall visual character are created according to the business owner's taste, brand and requirements.
The commerce logic remains separated from the presentation layer. This means the visual design can evolve without rebuilding core functions such as the catalog, cart, stock logic or backend workflows.
Laravel Backend & API-Oriented Architecture
The application is structured as a custom Laravel commerce platform. Product data, categories, cart actions, availability, contact workflows and other shop operations are handled through organized server-side business logic. An API-oriented separation provides a clean foundation for future integrations, additional frontends, mobile clients or external services.
- Laravel as a maintainable backend foundation
- Clear separation of presentation, business logic and data
- API-oriented interfaces for extensible commerce capabilities
- Central server-side validation of inputs and shop actions
- Extensible foundation for external systems, apps and automation
Multilingual Commerce & RTL/LTR Support
The store was built for multiple target markets with a multilingual storefront. This goes beyond translated copy: navigation, product information, categories, calls to action and content pages remain coherent and fully usable across language versions.
The frontend architecture supports both RTL and LTR presentation. The same commerce foundation can therefore serve different language and regional experiences without duplicating product, cart or checkout logic.
Multiple Currencies
Visitors can switch between EUR and SEK. Multi-currency presentation is particularly relevant to cross-border commerce and is treated as a dedicated part of the customer experience.
- EUR and SEK selection
- Consistent pricing throughout the product catalog
- Currency-aware shopping flow
- Foundation for additional country and currency logic
Catalog & Product Categories
Products are organized into understandable business categories rather than one unstructured list. The current storefront includes Honey & Bee Products, Herbs & Mixes, Oils & Natural Extracts and Pottery.
This improves browsing and also keeps catalog administration structured. New products can be categorized and enriched with descriptions, pricing, weights, images and availability information.
Homepage as a Dynamic Sales Surface
The homepage combines brand communication and active commerce rather than acting as a static corporate page.
- Top 10 products of the week
- Dedicated sections for major product categories
- Direct product actions from listing views
- All-products area with pagination and load-more behavior
- Custom blends on request
- Direct paths to contact and consultation
Rich Product Detail Pages
Product pages combine selling and education. In addition to name and price, they can present multiple images, weight, long-form descriptions, ingredients or product information, and usage guidance. This depth is particularly valuable for honey, blends and natural products where customers need more context than a generic catalog item provides.
- Multi-image product gallery
- Price and weight information
- Long-form product descriptions
- Quantity selection
- Add to cart and Buy now flows
- Favorites
- Availability and sold-out states
- Transparent shipping-cost notice before order confirmation
Cart, Direct Purchase & Favorites
The store supports different purchase intentions. Customers can collect items in the cart, save products as favorites or continue directly from a product page into a purchase flow. The cart keeps quantities and selected items together as one order context.
Favorites are especially useful for products that customers may compare or purchase repeatedly, helping the shop support an ongoing relationship rather than only a one-time checkout.
Dynamic Shipping Logic
Shipping is not hidden inside a generic product price. The storefront explains that shipping cost is calculated during checkout based on the destination country and delivery address, and that the final shipping amount is shown before the customer confirms the purchase.
This model is well suited to international delivery, where weight, destination and carrier conditions may differ substantially.
Inventory & Availability
A professional commerce system needs to distinguish between products that are visible, purchasable and temporarily unavailable. Items can be shown as sold out or currently unavailable without deleting their product information from the catalog.
Custom Blends & Consultative Products
A distinctive part of the business is custom product blending. Where a fixed set of variants would create unnecessary complexity, the platform deliberately moves the customer into a direct consultation flow. Customers can explain which blend they need instead of being forced through an oversized configurator.
This combines self-service commerce with human guidance exactly where consultation adds value.
Company & Trust Content
Trust is part of the product experience for natural foods. The About section therefore explains the company story, sourcing approach, quality positioning, laboratory testing, protective packaging and international shipping. A large image gallery provides visual insight into products, operations, packaging and shipping.
- Company story and quality positioning
- Laboratory and quality-testing communication
- Secure-packaging information
- International-shipping communication
- Image gallery with lightbox enlargement
- Links to social channels and business locations
Contact & Customer Communication
The platform combines self-service shopping with direct communication channels. Email, WhatsApp, a structured contact form and social platforms are connected to the storefront. The contact form captures name, email, optional phone number, optional subject and the actual message for product questions or special requests.
Terms & Purchase Information
Dedicated terms provide customers with information about accurate order details, shipment receipt, product instructions, storage responsibilities and health or allergy precautions. For an international specialty-food store, this kind of content is an important part of a transparent customer journey.
Security by Design
Because the platform processes cart operations, customer inputs and administrative product data, it is designed as a protected custom web application rather than an openly editable template installation. Security-sensitive logic stays server-side and administrative functionality is separated from the public storefront.
- HTTPS-oriented production operation
- Server-side request and input validation
- Protected administrative areas
- Controlled public endpoints and API surfaces
- Protection of sensitive actions from direct manipulation
- Clean error handling without exposing unnecessary implementation details
- Architecture that supports rate limits, logging and additional protection layers
Security is treated as an operational discipline rather than a one-time checkbox. Updates, monitoring, backups, access control and ongoing maintenance remain part of operating a professional commerce platform.
Responsive & Mobile Commerce
A large share of modern shopping happens on smartphones. Product cards, navigation, cart actions, product details, language and currency therefore need to remain usable on smaller screens without losing functionality. The interface is responsive and designed around a clear mobile customer journey.
Technical Extensibility
The custom Laravel and API structure leaves room for future functionality without rebuilding the store. Potential extensions include additional payment or shipping providers, customer accounts, order history, loyalty features, advanced stock workflows, ERP/CRM connections, marketing automation or dedicated mobile apps.
Result
Mouneh Gida combines a brand-specific storefront with structured commerce architecture for information-rich natural products. Customers get detailed product information, category navigation, favorites, cart flows, international price and shipping logic, and direct consultation in one experience.
The project also reflects a core principle of our work: technical quality and individual design are not opposites. The platform provides robust commerce logic while the visual experience is created around the client's brand and personal design preferences.
